We were asked by Durham Cathedral to help with their 2018 Christmas campaign to raise funds. We were given a brief with a few sketches to design and make a sustainable, reusable tree that people could hang wishes from. After a few proto types and meetings between ourselves and the cathedral we came up with the design pictured above.

Thanks to Arbor timber for the supply of the high quality grade Ash for the base and the birch Plywood for the horse. The horse and base was finished with 3 coats of Osmo clear satin oil-wax combination recommended by Arbor timber which brought out the grain to give a very high quality finish.
We were thrilled to be involved with this project, we refurbished the staircase in Oak and glass, painting the treads and risers to complement the stair carpet runner. The under stairs was made into a cupboard with a bespoke solid Oak and glass door and screen. The interior of this cupboard was fitted out with wine racking by others.
Trex composite decking was used to construct a corner decking area finished off with bespoke made timber seating and planting areas. The planters were capped off with a contrasting trex composite decking piece.
Good quality decking and joisting was used to install a seating platform and seats an the edge of a pond. A base was made at the rear to house a timber building suplied by others.
A raised platform deck was installed to provide a seating area for the client outside their patio doors. Steps were constructed allowing access into the rest of the garden and the whole area was finished off with glass balustrading to give an open feel with views of the garden and surrounding area.
A bespoke set of sliding folding doors were manufactured to fit an opening productd by the clients builder. the doors were constructed using 58mm thick Red grandis hardwood, finished in Teknos dark stain to match the other windows in the property, all finished off with good quality chrome hardware. Our fitting team installed the door and trimmed off the edges.

we were commissioned to manufacture timber sleeves and flooring to clad a metal floating staircase. Working alongside the metal fabrication company we made bespoke Utile hardwood tread cover boxes and Utile tongue and groove flooring for the landing platform. All of the Utile was then finished with Osmo Polyx Oil Tints in colour Terra to give a dark wood appearance.
