Using up to date computer software and a mixture of modern and traditional manufacturing technology we design and manufacture high quality purpose made timber staircases for commercial and domestic properties. We offer a personal service and advice to all our customers.

Every staircase we produce is made to measure allowing us to produce a style that will suit any home and fashion and with the staircase being the main focal point of the most houses it is important to get it right first time. A well fitted and finished staircase adds character, value and elegance to any home.

Using top quality hardwoods and softwoods we can create staircases to suit any style and budget. This can be supplied you fully assembled for you to fit yourself or using our own qualified joiners we can fit the staircase and all of the handrails, spindles and newels for you. We also offer a complete finishing service too, meaning you only need one company from start to finish.

The first thing you need to decide is the style of the staircase.

Traditional

A classic style using turned spindles and newels to create an elegant feature in your home. With a wide choice of different styles of turnings (see staircase components page for the choice of styles) it is easy to choose a style to suit your needs.

The example pictured to the right shows closed risers, and a curtailed bottom step. This was all produced in Ash with provincial newels and spindles.

Contemporary

A timeless style with clean lines and a minimalist look. Different styles can be achieved using different materials.

 Using square section timber throughout your staircase with simple detailing such as rounded edges, stop chamfers, or stop ovolo a simple elegant style easily achieved.

The example in the picture to the right uses square newels and spindles with a stop chamfered detail.

A more modern stylish feel can be made using a mixture of timber, glass and stainless steel.

The example in the picture to the left uses simple square newels with rounded edges with stainless steel dowel spindles and glass panels.

Next you need to choose the type of timber you would like the staircase to be made from. We can produce the staircase in many different species of timber depending on your budget and the final colour and look you would like to achieve. Some examples of timbers used are Pine, American white Oak, Ash, Sapele, Walnut, Southern yellow pine and many more.
