Rietveld 1919 Buffet
Manufactured by Jamie Sowden of Forest Edge Woodcrafts "The timber used for the recreation was AccoyaTM. This could be argues to be the most environmentally friendly and sustainable timber currently available. In total 147 induvidual pieces of flat, planed and perfectly squared timber. The main reason for choosing AccoyaTM was its ability to retain dimensional stability regardless of fluctuations of heat and humidity. Although in its orginal state it is a softwood it also holds crisp sharp edges very well when machined" Jamie

Traditional materials for a new build
We recently supplied Siberian Larch to clad the upper floor of a new red brick extension. This exceptionally stable timber will not require any treatment or maintanence and is expected to last for around 30 years. Over time it will fade to a beautiful silver grey. The owners wanted to break up the expanse of red brick with a traditional material that befits their traditional Victorian farm worker's cottage. We also supplied pre-painted doors and windows.
