We recently supplied Siberian Larch to clad the upper floor of a new red brick extension. This exceptionally stable timber will not require any treatment or maintanence and is expected to last for around 30 years. Over time it will fade to a beautiful silver grey. The owners wanted to break up the expanse of red brick with a traditional material that befits their traditional Victorian farm worker's cottage. We also supplied pre-painted doors and windows.
Arbor Timber donated a community notice board for the redevelopment of Boyne Place, a revamped public space in Langley Moor and was delighted to read the first notice it displayed.
"The Friends of Langley Moor wish to thank Arbor Timber of Mill Road, Langley Moor for skilfully manufacturing and generously donating our community notice board. We thought it was fitting to make them the subject of this the very first notice displayed in it."
Casement Windows for a city centre Victorian Terrace House
A customer approached Arbor Timber to supply like for like replacements of casement windows for a Victoria terrace house.
Being located in the city centre, access was restricted and erection of scaffolding would have required a delay while appropriate permission was sought. Drawing on our fitters’ expertise to install from the inside out, we replaced four single casement windows
